Nov. 29 - 2007 * MACBETH REVIEWED IN PRESTIGIOUS CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE!

The band has recently received a very good rating and review on the prestigious UK rock magazine Classic Rock. “Superangelic Hate Bringers” received a seven out ten rating in the December issue (#113). Journalist Geoff Barton describes the new album as “the one to give them an international breakthrough”.

This fourth album from these Italian gothic metallers might just be the one to give them an international breakthrough. There's some spectacular interplay between singers Andreas (throaty male grunts) and Morena (wispy female exhalations) and a guitar sound that's so crunchy it makes Priest's Tipton/Downing sound like they're playing detuned ukuleles. Many bands of this ilk fall into the trap of playing overlong songs, but Macbeth keep it simple and storm
through 10 tracks in 40 minutes. The highlight is Veils - spectacularly overblown but tempered by moments of Middle-Eastern ethnicity. With a glamorous girl, four pretty-boy Milanese and a hint
of bondage in the album cover photos, Macbeth are clearly on the right rack. Er, track. Plus on You Tube there's a video of them using masses of pyro on stage. In Beirut. Forza Azzurri!
